Our (RW1000) EJ257 Stage 5 Short Block takes a more aggressive approach with the use of Manley Turbo TUFF I-Beam Rods, Manley Turbo TUFF ED Forged Pistons and Darton Sleeves. These components provide piece of mind for our power hungry inner-selves!
We start with brand new OEM STi Block Halves and Crankshaft so our blocks are sold NO CORE DUE. We take the new halves and run them through a hone to make sure that the walls are sized perfectly for the new Forged pistons. We then assemble the short block in our Engine Clean Room and built to meet your specific need. There is no "one size fits all" configuration. Our performance rep will work with you to get details as to your performance demand, driving style and boost level.
Our Darton Sleeve Process starts with our In-house partnership acquiring a Haas VF3SS CNC and a full set of Darton iron Dry Sleeves. The process removes the complete factory bore and replaces it with Ductile Iron goodness! Once positioned and pressed into place we finalize the optimum bore size for your application in a Sunnen SV-10 and finally back to the CNC for a finished Stepped Deck surface.
Once you receive your block, it will be assembled and ready for the long block assembly.
